Fire and Rescue Department under the Ministry of the Interior together with Fire Fighters Training School are implementing a project “Strengthening of Rescue Capabilities in Civil Protection and Emergency Situations Service of the Republic of Moldova under the Ministry of the Interior” (project No. K2016-VB-MD-050) which is financed by the assets of the Development Cooperation and Assistance to Democracy Programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In the course of this project the good experience of Lithuania in the field of preparing for emergency situations and emergency situations management organisation with the officers of Civil Protection and Emergency Situations Service of the Republic of Moldova under the MOI will be shared.

Total budget - 9105,00 Eur.
Assets from the Development Cooperation and Assistance to Democracy Programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - 8547,00 Eur., state budget assets of the Republic of Lithuania - 558,00 Eur.
Aims:
The main aim of the project is to strengthen the specialists‘ of Civil Protection and Emergency Situations Service in Moldova skills to prepare and react to potential dangers and emergency situations.
Target group:
Specialists of Moldova who organize and plan the means of state readiness for different nature emergency situations, who organise the management of potential emergency situations and persons’ protection and who organise rescue works in case of transport accident.
Objectives:
1. To identify development possibilities for Civil Protection and Emergency Situations Service in Moldova in the field of readiness for emergency situations and rescue works in case of transport accident and to present the good practice of state fire and rescue service in Lithuania.
2. To make the project public by spreading a positive opinion about the benefits of the cooperation within the project.
Foreseen activities:
1. to organise Fire Fighters Training School experts‘ visit to Civil Protection and Emergency Situations Service in Moldova on purpose to familiarize with readiness to emergency situations in Moldova, the organisation of emergency situations management and rescue works in case of transport accidents and at the same time to identify improvement possibilities.
2. to organise seminar in the Republic of Moldova for Moldovan specialists about civil protection and emergency situations management on purpose to present the good practice of state fire and rescue service in Lithuania.
3. to organise work session for the specialist of Civil Protection and Emergency Situations Service in Moldova at Fire Fighters Training School.
Expected results:
1. Prepared analysis with suggestions how to improve the readiness.
2. 20 specialists from Moldova who improved their qualification in civil protection and emergency situations management.
3. Prepared recommendatory action plan of management organisation in case of emergency situation and development of rescue works in case of transport accident for Civil Protection and Emergency Situations Service in Moldova.
